In the Sendai Colony, chaos brews as Takako Uro and Ryu Ishigori watch the aftermath of Dhruv Lakdawalla’s defeat. Both realize that Yuta Okkotsu was the one responsible for killing the seasoned sorcerer. Ryu is somewhat relieved, admitting that Dhruv’s obsession with Yuta kept him from having to clash with either of them. However, Takako expresses concern over a new danger: the awakening of Kurourushi, a dormant special grade cursed spirit.
Meanwhile, Yuta, having eliminated Dhruv, focuses on protecting a group of civilians trapped within the barrier. Though he initially plans to guide them to the edge of the colony, he notices their fatigue and decides to lead them to the stadium Dhruv once controlled for temporary shelter.
As they move, Yuta senses a sinister buzzing sound. To his horror, a massive swarm of cursed cockroaches appears, sent by Kurourushi. Yuta tries to save a man from the horde, but the civilian is devoured alive. In response, Yuta summons Rika, who promptly destroys a nearby bridge to block the swarm’s advance.
Not stopping there, Yuta channels cursed energy into his katana, unleashing a devastating attack that annihilates the entire swarm of cursed insects in a single strike — a chilling reminder of both Yuta’s overwhelming power and the terrifying threats lurking within the Culling Game.
