Yuta Okkotsu faces off against the grotesque cockroach curse Kurourushi in a vicious, high-stakes battle inside the Sendai Colony. Despite his overwhelming strength, Yuta takes care to conceal his ability to use Reverse Cursed Technique, knowing revealing it too early would paint a target on his back in the Culling Game.
Kurourushi, armed with its vile Festering Life Sword and capable of summoning swarms of cursed insects, proves to be a tenacious and lethal opponent. Yuta fights skillfully, managing to disarm and momentarily overpower the curse. However, Kurourushi’s toxic insect swarms, corrosive attacks, and erratic tactics leave Yuta at a serious disadvantage, gradually wearing him down.
In a desperate, instinctive move, Kurourushi grabs Yuta and attempts to devour him alive. Thinking quickly, Yuta bites into Kurourushi’s face and channels positive energy directly into the curse’s body — a creative, close-quarters method of exorcism. The sudden surge of positive energy obliterates Kurourushi from within, ending the fight in shocking fashion.
Watching from a distance, Ryu Ishigori and Takako Uro are both astonished by Yuta’s raw strength and unorthodox technique. With Kurourushi’s defeat, Yuta gains five points, but the brutal battle leaves him visibly drained and vulnerable — setting the stage for further confrontations in the colony.
