In the aftermath of their grueling battle in Tokyo Colony No. 1, Reggie Star lies defeated by Megumi Fushiguro. Reflecting on how Megumi outmaneuvered him using Divine Dog: Totality and precise tactics within his Chimera Shadow Garden, Reggie accepts his loss with grace. As a final gesture, he transfers his 41 points to Megumi before dying, leaving him with a parting message to trust fate in deciding his future path.
Elsewhere in the colony, Iori Hazenoki continues his battle against Fumihiko Takaba. However, Takaba’s bizarre behavior and the unintentional activation of his Comedian cursed technique — which makes his jokes reality — render him virtually immune to Hazenoki’s attacks. Frustrated and unnerved by the inexplicable immunity, Hazenoki retreats after learning of Reggie’s death, leaving Takaba unharmed but without acquiring any points.
Meanwhile, Remi, terrified after witnessing the battles and betrayals, flees through the ruined streets of the colony. She’s eventually cornered by Megumi’s Divine Dog, who nearly executes her. At the last moment, Megumi envisions his sister Tsumiki’s voice, reminding him of mercy, prompting him to spare Remi. Overwhelmed by exhaustion and injuries, Megumi collapses.
As he lies unconscious, a mysterious figure — Hana Kurusu, known as the Angel — descends upon him, her arrival signaling the next significant development in the Culling Game.
