In this climactic chapter, Yuta Okkotsu and Ryu Ishigori engage in an all-out, high-stakes battle, each pushing their limits. Moved by Ryu’s unwavering hunger for a meaningful, satisfying fight, Yuta decides to unleash his full power.
The confrontation reaches its peak in a cursed energy beam struggle, where Ryu’s overwhelming Granite Blast threatens to overpower Yuta. However, demonstrating both adaptability and tactical brilliance, Yuta uses Takako Uro’s space-warping cursed technique — which he copied earlier — to redirect Ryu’s devastating blast.
With Rika’s support, Yuta unleashes a barrage of brutal, close-combat strikes. But as the fight drags on, Rika’s time limit runs out, and she disappears from the battlefield, leaving Yuta to finish the fight alone.
Despite this, Yuta remains composed. He seizes a critical moment to warp space again, redirecting one of Ryu’s earlier Granite Blasts back onto him. The attack lands squarely, finally overwhelming Ryu. As he falls, Ryu expresses deep gratitude for the fight, likening the experience to finally tasting the satisfying “dessert” he’d long craved — a battle worthy of his strength.
Yuta stands victorious, having not only bested one of the Culling Game’s strongest players but also gained valuable experience and respect in the process.
